Aadhaar Enrolment Process in Assam:

Government of Assam has decided to enrol all residents in the State for issue of unique identification (Aadhaar numbers) and for this purpose appointed General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Assam as the Registrar. GAD will take up enrolment of all residents in Assam including rural and urban areas under this UID project. The project is expected to enrol about 3.40 crore people (projected population of 2017) living in Assam spreading across thirty three districts of Assam. The State will also act as Enrolment Agency (EA) (Deputy Commissioners). The Nodal Officers are in the rank of Additional Deputy Commissioners in the district.

The Registrars shall engage EAs for carrying out the various functions and activities related to Aadhaar enrolment such as setting up of enrolment centres, undertaking collection of demographic and biometric data for Aadhaar enrolment and any other data required by the Registrar for the effective implementation of their projects. This Request for Quotation document is intended to invite bids from firms/ agencies/ Companies to supply trained, UIDAI certified manpower and to deploy on hire, UIDAI approved Aadhaar Enrolment kits for undertaking demographic and biometric data collection for enrolment of residents for Aadhaar enrolments at various locations/ offices in Assam for a period on one (1) year, which can be extended on mutual agreement.
